Flash mob goes viral as single released in aid of Railway Children

Rock Rail and other members of the rail industry join forces again to record flash mob hit single ‘Lean on Me’ to raise funds for Railway Children

Following the phenomenal success of last month’s flash mob in support of the Railway Children which has seen over 3 million people watching the video, the charity has been inundated with requests to record the song … and that’s just what they’ve done!

The flash mob saw members of the rail industry come together and sing a moving rendition of the Bill Withers classic ‘Lean on Me’ to the delight of London Bridge commuters.

Members of the Rock Rail team, who were part of the flash mob, along with members of Southeastern who helped organise it, the British Transport Police and other supporters from across the rail industry, got together again to record the song in an effort to raise funds for the charity.

Music producer, James Hawkins, the man behind the ‘Missing People’s Choir that shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, led the group in recording this latest version of ‘Lean on Me’ by Voices for Railway Children.

Railway Children are hoping the single will storm to the top of the charts, and as it does every penny raised through the downloads will go towards their work protecting and supporting vulnerable children at risk on the streets and railways.
